Kanawha County Commissionto hold public test of voting machines on Wednesday May 20that 4:00pm
Charleston W.Va. –On Wednesday May 20th, 2020, at 4:00pmthe Kanawha County Commission and the CountyClerk’s office will hold thepublictest of the tabulating equipment. The County Clerk’s office will test a sampling of all equipment that will be used for voting at the early voting precincts including the ExpressVote, DS200 and tabulating equipment, to insure every vote counts.The Kanawha County Commission and the Kanawha County Clerk continue to encourage all voters to their absentee ballots which may be mailed in or placed in a drop boxat voter’s registration office.The test can be viewed by visiting the meetingpage of theKanawha County Commission’s website at www.kanawha.us.Due to spacing limitations in the Voter Registration office, candidatesand public shouldview the test online. As of May15th, 2020, the CountyClerk’s office has coded19578absentee ballot applications, mailed out17,956absentee ballots,and received6,160return ballots.
