Handicap Entrance Locations

Kanawha County Courthouse

Outside: The Kanawha County Commission has made attempts to provide all reasonable accommodations for any individual with a disability an equal opportunity to particiapt in all services provided by Kanawha County. All facilities are equipped with handicap accessible restrooms, elevators, entrances and handicap parking.

Inside: There are elevators to all levels of the building, and handicap equipped restrooms throughout the building.

Parking: Handicap parking is available at either the boulevard side of the parking lot or the County Commission side of the parking lot for the Kanawha County Courthouse. The parking lot can be accessed on Virginia Street and Goshorn Street.

Judicial Building

Outside: The handicap entrance to the Judicial Building can accessed at the cornor of Virginia Street and Court Street. There are push buttons open the doors.

Inside: There are elevators to all levels of the building, handicap accessible doors to the Circuit Clerks Office, a ramp to Family Court and Masgistrate Court, and handicap equipped restrooms throughout the building.

Parking: Handicap parking is available in the parking garage which can be accessed on Goshorn Street.

W. Kent Carper Public Safety Complex

Outside: The handicap entrance to the W. Kent Carper Public Safety Complex can be access by a ramp leading the door on 301 Virginia Street East.

Inside: There are elevators to all levels of the building, and handicap equipped restrooms throughout the building.

Parking: Handicap parking is available at the small parking lot at the corner of Virginia Street and Goshorn Street between the Public Safety Complex and the Kanawha County Courthouse.

Voter’s Registration Office

Outside: The handicap entrance to the Voters Registration Office can be accessed at the corner of Court Street and 415 Quarrier Street.

Inside: The friendly staff will assist with any accomodations the handicap individual may need. Also there are handicap accessible restrooms available.

Parking: Handicap parking is available in the parking garage which can be accessed on Goshorn Street.
