Forest Fire Safety

Remove dead vegetation from under deck/porch and within 10 ft of the house
Clear leaves and other vegetative debris from roofs, gutters, porches, and decks
Helps prevent embers from igniting your home
Remove flammable materials (wood piles, propane tanks) within 30 feet of home, outbuildings, garages, sheds

Don’t let debris and lawn cuttings linger. DISPOSE of these items quickly to reduce fuel for fire
If it can catch fire, don’t let it touch your house, deck, or porch!!

    Forest Fire Season started Oct. 1st and runs through Dec. 31st.

No Burning 7 AM through 5 PM

All fires to be extinguished by 7 AM

10 Ft. safety strip around outdoor fires

It is against the law to leave a fire unattended

Place debris in several small piles instead of one large one

Never burn on dry, windy days

Have water and tools on hand in case fire escapees burn area
